The specifics

WHO:

Romero,Abel(Round2)-47.jpg

I see people across a wide range of ages and populations, ranging from teenage athletes to people in their 90’s. Ultimately, the common thread between the people I work best with is a genuine interest in understanding how their body operates and performs at it’s best. Those who are highly motivated to maintain their quality of movement (thus their quality of life) throughout the lifespan are my people!

Populations I have historically had a high percentage of success with include runners, golfers, postpartum women/mothers of younger children, people with challenging back/pelvic pain

WHAT:

A thorough movement assessment - this includes a global movement assessment as well as assessment(s) specific to your challenging tasks and goals.

  • This also includes a thorough interview to adequately understand your history and current life demands

  • Specific and individualized movement training to optimize suboptimal patterns

  • Specific and individualized movement/exercise programming via TrueCoach (link)

WHERE:

Excluding specific circumstances when I will either travel to a client’s home or work out of my home office, my sessions are conducted entirely via Zoom. We work in your environment. Wherever you feel comfortable or necessary to practice/train is where we practice. I can and do make suggestions on equipment, but am happy to incorporate any equipment you have or get creative with “non-exercisey” objects you have around!

HOW:

There are typically two ways that people use my services:

1. Regularly and fairly frequently (once every 1-2 weeks) for a short period of time (1-3 months), with gradual weaning (sessions spread further apart). This is typically the approach for the purposes of achieving a specific goal. Specific goals may include:

  • Preparing for a challenging training period or event

  • Learning a new movement skill

  • Returning to a certain type of movement/exercise following a hiatus or an injury

  • Resolving pain

2. Like you would a dentist - routinely check in periodically in order to have an assessment, make sure things are working properly, and be given an appropriate, specific plan to maintain optimal health. This can range anywhere from once every couple weeks to once every 6 months, depending on many factors including preference, lifestyle, and interest.

  • Ultimately, I am interested in building lasting relationships. I want people to feel like they have an invested partner in their health and movement journey throughout their life.

When:

As of now, Mondays and Wednesdays are my only no-can-do days. I see clients all other days. The beauty of remote coaching is that I am more flexible!

Why:

So that you can experience as much of what life has to offer as you would like. I want you to live your healthiest, longest, and happiest life possible!
